Becoming a Registered Centre for the Level 1 Certificate in Health and Safety at Work

A registered centre is an organisation registered with BSC Awards to deliver the Level 1 Certificate in Health and Safety at Work and hold examinations at its location on dates and at times of its choice.

Key Benefit

Allows organisations to deliver in-house training using learning materials supplied by BSC Awards and then hold examinations at their location which lead to a nationally-recognised qualification.

How it Works

  1. Organisation registers with BSC Awards for a fee of £250 + VAT (annual renewal £100 + VAT).
  2. BSC Awards provides photocopiable student handouts, Powerpoint slides and lesson plans.
  3. Organisation prepares its candidates for the assessment (the course can be delivered in one day).
  4. Organisation books examinations with BSC Awards for date(s) and time(s) of its choosing. Examination fee £10.21 per candidate (+VAT).
  5. BSC Awards despatches examination question papers to organisation.
  6. Organisation administers (invigilates) the examination and returns answer forms to BSC Awards for marking.
  7. BSC Awards issues results and qualification certificates within five working days.
